Meet the Grand Canyon Raptors  –

This is a hands-on program with three different birds of prey. During the program you will learn about the biology of these magnificent raptors. Your experience will include having a free flying hawk and falcon fly to your glove. Guests will also have an opportunity to hold an eagle owl (one of the largest owls in the world) and receive a complimentary souvenir photo card of your Raptor Experience.

  • All Grand Canyon Raptor Encounters are by Appointment Only
  • Approximately one hour.
  • 1-2 person - $150.00 each
  • 3 or more people - $125.00 each
  • Max people - 6 (ages 10 and up)

Grand Canyon Falconry 101 –

Take a walk on the wild side, with a trained raptor. Falconry (hunting with a trained bird of prey), is an art that has been practiced for thousands of years. During the program you will learn the basics about what it takes to become a modern day falconer. This is an in the field experience on uneven terrain and no groomed walking trails. Guests should be prepared for a light hike through the bush. Your experience will also include having a free flying hawk and falcon fly to your glove. At the conclusion of the Grand Canyon Falconry 101 Course guests will also have an opportunity to hold an eagle owl (one of the largest owls in the world) and receive a complimentary souvenir photo card of your Grand Canyon Raptor Experience.

  • 1.5 hours
  • 1-2 person - $250 each
  • 3 or more people - $225.00 each
  • Max people - 6 (ages 8 and up)

 

Grand Canyon Raptor Educational Group Visits –The standard program is approximately 2 hours (Program offered October 1- March 31st) For youths 7-17. Programs are designed to match the age of the youth groups. Whatever the age group, the demonstrations will always show a wide array of raptors. Prices will vary on age and group rates. This program is designed for schools and Scouting groups.
